I entered Mt. Carmel in the fall of 1959 after receiving
my primary education at Holy Cross Elementary.
Played various sports during the 4 years at Mt. Carmel
and in the ’62-’63 school year served as Student Body
President. I participated in the school’s production of
Showboat, took part in and chaired various committees
on a number other school activities. After graduating in
1963, I attended East Los Angeles College majoring in
business management. Throughout those years at Mt.
Carmel and ELAC, I workedat the family owner business
known as Eastside Wholesale Notions. It was established
by my parents in 1948 and was a wholesale distributorship
of HBA products, school supplies and general merchandise.
While still involved in the family
business, in 1988, I and ten other East Los Angeles
businessmen re-established the East Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce for which I served as President for 4 years. In 1994, the family business was closed after 46 years of serving the greater Los Angeles area. I became an operations manager for a landscaping company in Carlsbad, CA.
I have been working as a real estate professional managing residential properties for the past number of years.
I have been on the Mt. Carmel Alumni Foundation’s Board of Directors for a number of years and I now serve as Treasurer. As a member of the Board of Directors of the Mt. Carmel Alumni Foundation, it is my intention and hope to continue assisting these inner city schools provide a quality education for the youth of today that will be our future citizens and leaders of tomorrow. May the blessings of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel be with all of us. “Crusader Sons Are We”
